Finally on DW too ^^

So, finally, I made an account in this dreamwidth. YAY!!!
It has been a while hearing that perhaps it is better to move to dreamwidth coz LJ seems not safe anymore. But I was kinda lazy in doing that. But I think today is the day. So, even if it is now already 11:30 pm, still in front of the laptop for this dreamwidth thing, and made my first entry lol.

Guess all those video clips leaks of Are you Happy & Japonism Arena dvd today, also the documentary (THE Documentary) made me on fire in doing this LOL.

I have to thank @Coolohoh for the tutorial in how to setup an account in DW. It is in such details that I can make this account easily without any problems.

Ok, I will continue exploring this dreamwidth tomorrow, because now ... now is the time to watch the MAKING OF/Documentary!!!!!! Oh, can't wait! I have watched in twitter some clips of bts of ShoJun NonNo photoshoots (where Jun gave Sho massage T.T, also they practiced dance together), bts of Arashi clover, Arashi dance practice for each solo. Aahh... Arashi dorkiness and hardwork really give me a lot of feelings today.

So now.. off to watch the full version of the Making Of \(^o^)/

Oyasumi!

Autumn

Ah, it's already Autumn here, already winter time. Time really flies, and in just 2 months, it will be 2017.
It makes me think, how is my new year resolution??? ;P and the title of the new album of Arashi makes me thinking about my life more.... Am I happy??? ^^

For Digitalian, my fav is 'Hope in the darkness'. For Japonism, it is 'Rolling days'. And for this new album, the 'Are you Happy?' album, I really love 'Miles Away'. But I think almost all Arashi fans love this song. Love how their voices are harmonized in this song. Can't wait how they will perform the song in the concert! 9 days to go to the first day of 'Are you happy' concert tour!!!

For sure, Arashi is now busy preparing for the concert, meeting, practicing. Ganbare Arashi!!!!! Hope everything goes well as you expected, concert banchou! ^^

Lost in translation

Currently I am watching Descendants of the Sun. It has been a while for me, watching drama that is currently airing. The last time was 2 years ago, after that I tend to wait until the drama has at least 5-6 episodes before I finally watch it, and watch the rest of the episodes when the drama has finished.

This drama is far better than what I expected. I like it! like it enough to make me lurking into Soompi drama forum again XD. What I like from lurking at the drama forum while watching the drama itself (I am a silent reader by the way ^^), beside reading analysis from fellow viewer & feeling the excitement of the drama together, sometimes I can get more information that help me understanding the drama better. For example, for this drama, where the male lead is a soldier, I got info over the rank in the army, and especially over the Korean military language. Apparently there is a specific way in saying certain words in Korean language that only soldiers use it. Interesting!

I have never learnt Korean, but with my 15+ years experience of watching Kdrama & K-variety shows LOL, I know a bit of the degree of politeness in Korean language, or the way they say the sentence. These and that Korean military language are some things that certainly miss in subtitle, if you don't know them. Yep, lost in translation!

And that make me think... Oh nooo... how is it if I watch J-drama then (with the premier date of Ohno and Jun's dramas are just around the corner) ?? My Japanese language is big 0, I know nothing about it :( Not that I never watch J-drama before. But before I never bother about the pun in the Japanese language, as long I understand what they said ;D. But now, I just realize, the way the line is said is also important, to add in understanding the character/situation. That is also what I sometimes feel, when I watched Arashi shows. I miss all the inside pun/joke, coz I don't really understand the language :(( Only when someone pointed out, then I understand it *sigh*

I wish I knew a forum like Soompi forum, for Japanese drama, in where we can just discuss about the drama.

Fangirling

I have never really idolized someone or doing avid fangirling thing before during my school time, not even when I was in university, where for some people that is the peak time they do fangirling. I think I just too focused in studying hahahaha, missed all this exciting things called fangirling ;P. It has been always difficult for me to answer questions such as, who is your favorite actor/actress, who is your favorite singer. I like watching films, listening to the music but never favoritized someone. Not till now, till I started working and having my own family. Strange, isn't it?? I myself find it strange :P But luckyly, the fact that I now work, it means that I have more budget to buy fangirling stuff.... YAY!! \(^o^)/

I love watching dramas. But 4 years ago, I started watching Korean variety shows, old and new variety shows. Through these variety shows, I got familiar with Korean idols. Discovered 2PM group when watching their Two O'clock show, too bad it was only for 1 season. Then I also got to know Shinhwa when I was curious about their Shinhwa Broadcast variety show. I find Shinhwa quite attractive. I like some of their songs, especially the slow one. But I notice that I only like Eric or Shinhwa as a group. When individual member did promotion or appeared in certain show, I don't have any interest on it. Because of that, it's also quite difficult to fangirling Shinhwa with Eric that does not appear alot on tv and with the fact that their variety show ended after only 1.5 years (and I just started watching it when their show was already half way). So, naturally my interest on them starts decreasing, sadly ... :((

So... when I have nothing, no good drama that I can watch, no idol that I am really interested in, I decided to watch Hanadan... ;P

After watching it, out of curiosity, I googled everything about Matsumoto Jun. I have heard/read about him before, but never really interested in him. I read all articles that I can find in google and watched everything about him and Arashi in YouTube. Oh boy, it was so difficult to find Arashi vids in Youtube and at that time I didn't understand why :P. Luckyly some good Arashi fans made great vids over Arashi history, about their coolness, their hard work and especially their dorkiness, both during their concerts and their variety shows. And just like that I become Arashi fan XD. The fact that they appear in a lot of variety shows until now helps me in continuing being their fan. Everytime I watched their shows, I can just laugh, feeling happy, and liking them more and more. I like all members, but Matsumoto Jun is still my bias ^^

So, it seems, for me, variety show is one of important factors in keeping me doing fangirling. Through these variety shows I can see the characters of each member better, what are their personalities. It does not mean that the variety shows will show how they really are, because we will never know precisely who they really are, but at least through the variety shows I can see a glimpse of their true personalities from their reactions, the ways they talk, their body language etc. And at that end, all of that will affirm me in why I like them and make me falling in love with them again and again hahahaha

Doing fangirling has also made me done things that I have never done before, buying goodies for the first time, being active in twitter, opening live journal and actually writing a blog :P, initiating conversation with someone although it's only in cyberworld (In RL I am quite introvert person :) ). So, I guess fangirling does something good to me too XD

Drama/movie based on Manga

Just watched today VS Arashi where the guest was the cast of Library Wars (Toshokan Sensou) movie. I did not realize that it was from that movie until someone in twitter mentioned the English title of the movie. I have read the manga but did not remember the Japanese title -_-.

I know that some dramas that I love are based on mangas, such as Hana Yori Dango, It started with a kiss (Taiwanese version). But I have never been into Japanese movies. So, when I started watching VS Arashi shows where many of their opponents were the cast of a movie/drama, I've come to realize that there are so so many Japanese movies/dramas made based on mangas.

Just a couple days ago I read that Yamapi and Ishihara Satomi will act together in 5-ji Kara 9-ji Made. I have read the manga, the idea is quite interesting, but at the end I just cannot finish it coz I just do not understand anymore the way they think and why they do that. For instance, there is a scene that the guy locked the girl alone in a isolated room the whole night and that is supposed to show the girl that she belongs to him??? The guy is just too possesive in a weird way. I understand that this manga is more Josei manga, that the romance is mature and complex, not as simple as Shoujo. But isn't it then the love should be more rational compare to if the leads were teenager?? Or is it some kind of definition love is blind that because of love you do stupid/ unreasonable things??? So yep, I want the female lead to just be with the second lead male... :P

However, when I saw the preview of 5-ji Kara 9-ji Made drama, I must admit that it is quite cute. So, with the cute preview and with two pretty leads I am now curious how the story adapted in this drama. ^^

Sometimes it happens that while the manga itself is very interesting and good, its live-action adaptation doesn't live up to the manga. At least that is what I feel about Rurouni Kenshin. I love the manga, but when I watched the movie... sadly... it is kinda boring :( So I am now wondering whether this 5-ji Kara 9-ji Made drama will be the other way around, that the manga is not to my liking but then the drama is good enough to keep me watching it??? :)

Thinking about it again, I think Rurouni Kenshin is the only manga that I read the manga and also watched the live-action adaptation. I have only either read the manga (and not watch the live adaption) or watched the live adaptation (and not read the corresponding manga). How come? Oh well, I don't know why either, just happened that way :P

Arashi Fanfics

I feel bad that I neglected this livejournal. But I guess I just don't know what I should write, what I should do with this LiveJournal. Should I just use this like a diary, writing what I am thinking about right now, or should I use it to write things only related to Arashi?

Oh well, for now, I think I will just write down what is happening to me related to Arashi then :P

So, what happen is .... this fanfic... this Arashi fanfic... to be spesific... these Sakumoto fanfics... OMG.... I think I am addicted to it. This is really bad, I can't stop!!! Help!! At first I was really reluctant in reading a fanfic, felt strange, a fanfic??? What is that??? But, I love reading, novel, manga. So, out of curiosity, I thought I will just give it a try. And, that was my mistake :P

WOW, I never imagine that many of fanfics can be really good, good written, good in content. Okay, there are smut in many fanfics ;P, but still, the story itself sometimes can be really interesting. Everytime I read a fanfic, I cannot stop thinking, how can the writer come up with this idea, the way they wrote it, it is really amazed me. I wish I could write as good as them, so I can also contribute a little bit to the Sakumoto world, hahahaha

My first drama

I just read a blog that tells a story about the blogger's first drama. It makes me wondering, what is MY first drama???

The first drama that comes to my mind is Tokyo Love Story. The sweet love story between Rika Akana and Kanji Nagao, and how I hated the ending :P. But then thinking about it again, nope, it went way back before it. I think my very very VERY first drama is The Return of Condor Heroes, starring Andy Lau. I remember watching it together with my family when I was still in elementary school. We rented the videos. :) And after that continue to the other series from Condor trilogies.

I also thought that Tokyo Love Story was my first Japanese drama. But I guess, I just didn't realize that I've watched quite a lot of dramas, even when I was still in elementary school :P. How can I forget Oshin. Really love the story. The impact of the Hiroshima bomb to the Japanese people, how they struggled, is well portrayed which left a deep impression on me.

After that due to schools, I stop watching dramas, not until the booming of Japanese dramas on tv, such as Tokyo Love Story, Ordinary People, 101 Proposal, etc. Then continue to Taiwanese dramas, the very sad dramatic dramas that made me cried almost all the time :) I didn't remember a single title of the dramas though, but I remember watching in one taiwanese drama, the girl has to walk trough 7 gates, while people around her throwing stuff to her as punishment, just because she fell in love with the brother of her deceased husband. Crazy, right?? But I guess, that was the culture during that time :(

Reality life made me stop watching dramas for a while, not until Meteor Garden brought me back. Oh F4 hahaha. Bought the cassette tape of the ost, just shows how much I liked the drama hahaha. But then again, I also bought the ost of Tokyo Love Story :D

Now I am wondering... what is my first Korean drama? How did I begin watching Korean drama?

Aaahhh... now I remember! My very first Korean drama was All About Eve. And how did I know it??? From my mother!! :)) She kept saying that the male lead is handsome, that she likes the drama, and that I should try watching it :))) And yep who can resist Jang Dong-gun :P

But now I just realize that All About Eve was a year before the Meteor Garden??? It means Meteor Garden didn't bring me back to the drama land, but my mother did, through All About Eve, hmmm ... :)))

So, yep, till now I am still watching dramas, although lately I watch more variety shows, the shows that can make me laugh :D I feel now the more I watch dramas, the pickier I become. It becomes not easy to find a drama that I really like. :( But sometimes some dramas can surprise me, they are pretty good... :D. So just keep surprising me dramaland :))

Japanese language

Been thinking of learning Japanese language lately...hahaha.
Would have been nice if I can, so that I can understand all the talks in Arashi's videos out there ^^. Wow, I think I am really getting addicted to Arashi. Not sure whether it is good or bad, but for now I guess just enjoy it :).

I am really happy that I found the video of Arashi's Fight in Kokuritsu. Been searching for it for a while. Really want to see how they prepare themselves for their first concert in Kokuritsu, how are their feelings. From that video, I now know what they usually do right before the concert starts, how MatsuJun lead the routine :) Too bad, the video I watched is unsubbed, so I don't understand what the members said. :( So, back to Japanese language... seriously... I am now really considering learning it ...

Arashi

Feel really glad that I found Arashi. Having been living in Europe for almost 15 years, watching their program makes me miss Asia so much. So, Arashi is indeed like an oasis to me :) Their shows are really entertaining, even my children like them :P I also love their musics.

I am MatsuJun baited, through watching Hana Yori Dango. I don't know why, but before I always avoided watching the Japanese version, thinking the actors are not that appealing. But so many people say that the Japanese version is the best one. So, not until last month I decided to watch it. Oh my... what I have missed till now.... The chemistry between the main leads, the plot that is not too dragging, it is really the best version. And overall, I get to know MatsuJun and Arashi ^^.

I hope someday I can visit Japan... it is still on my bucket list.
